Nancy was born on October 13, 1941 in Livingston, Wisconsin to Lester and Vera (Davenport) Reger. She married James Matthews on September 25, 1959 at the Little Brown Church in the Vale at Nashua, Iowa.
She enjoyed working in her flower gardens and bird watching especially hummingbirds and orioles. Nancy was the Salutatorian of her class, graduating from Cobb High School, Cobb, Wisconsin in 1959. She was the owner of J & N Dipworm and enjoyed fishing for catfish in the Mississippi and Rock Rivers with Jim. Nancy adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband Jim of Chadwick; her daughters, Billie Jo (Don Geiger) Matthews of Coleta, Bobbie (Jerry) Gibbs of Milledgeville, Bette (Dalbert) Wiebenga of Morrison and Be (Eric) Miller of Milledgeville; her sons, Jon (Mary) Matthews of Lanark and JC (Kim) Matthews of Milledgeville; her grandchildren, Steven (Sarah) Wiebenga, Kevin Wiebenga, Andrew Gibbs, Eric Gibbs (Logan Feltmeyer), Damon Miller and Rylee Matthews; step grandchildren, Jeff (Alissa) Althoff and Katie (Rick) Warner; great grandchildren: Caden, Madelynn and Nolan Wiebenga; and step great grandchildren, Taylor Hooper, Maddy and Austin Warner and Henry and Jared Althoff.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister.
